Coppell Lariettes Director, Mrs. Julie Stralow
Mrs. Stralow is in her 10th year as a teacher and drill team director at Coppell High School. She is originally from Richmond, Texas and is a former member and Colonel of the Stephen F. Austin High School Angels Dance Team. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Dance at Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!) and continued dancing professionally with Contemporary Dance Fort Worth for several years.
Stralow came to CHS as a long-term substitute for former director Kari Korth and was hired the next year as the Silver Stars JV director and dance teacher. It wasn’t long before circumstances led her to direct both the Lariettes and Silver Stars that first year, and by the spring she was the official Lariette Drill Team Director.
After a couple years as the varsity director, Stralow decided to retire as a professional dancer to devote more energy to CHS and the Lariettes. In 2008 she married Carl Stralow and in 2010 welcomed their daughter, Morgan, to the family. Coach Stralow is the head football coach at Keller High School (Go Indians!), and Morgan is a full time student at the Early Childhood Development Center in Colleyville (Go Roos!).
Mrs. Stralow is looking forward to another great year at CHS and expects the best year ever with the Lariettes!
